A few classes ago we went to the library and photocopied a page from a book. Using the photocopied page we covered most of the words and left a few words as a found poem. I chose the first three pages from The Maze Runner. For the first page I covered most of the words in black sharpie and then went over the sharpie in gold ink. For the second and third pages I covered most of the words in blue ink and when that dried I went over the blue parts with silver ink.
I really liked this project because it gave me another way to look at a page in a novel. I also liked messing around with the colored ink both before I did the main piece as practice and after doing the main piece just for fun.
